Created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s, Pilates is a system of exercises using mat and special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance the mind body awareness.
I have found through self-practice and instruction that Pilates is the one exercise program for all regardless of your fitness level. It doesn’t matter if you’re young, old, short or tall. Each and every one of us is different with our own daily aches and pains. Pilates will help you become stronger from the inside out, using focus, breath, and slow controlled movements. You’ll become aware of the mind body connection and start to feel stronger, stand taller, and find yourself less stressed.
